Tax Policy
Tax treatment depends on the product, purchaser, destination, fulfillment facts, and any exemption approved for the order.
Do not assume exempt treatment. Submitting a certificate or request does not approve an exemption. Written approval must be associated with the correct purchaser, address, jurisdiction, and order before exempt treatment is relied upon.
How order facts affect tax
A checkout tax amount may change when the product, delivery address, fulfillment path, purchaser information, title or registration facts, installation, freight treatment, or exemption status changes. The accepted order record should show the treatment applied.
Exemption review
- Submit the purchaser name, relevant jurisdiction, claimed exemption type, and quote or order reference through the request form.
- Use the secure documentation path provided after intake; do not place certificate numbers or sensitive identity records in an open message.
- Wait for written approval linked to the transaction before treating an order as exempt.
- Provide renewed or corrected documentation when the purchaser, destination, certificate, or order facts change.
Special transaction review
Trailers and other titled products, registration charges, installation, freight, cross-border orders, and source-direct fulfillment may require additional review. Customers should consult their own tax adviser about their obligations.
